It couldn't be easier.............once you have registered you can simply reply to the challenge you wish to submit a solution for. Each open challenge can be found in it's own unique Tab at the top of the page. Just click the Reply button to post your idea.

To help you formulate your idea and also give us the information we require you may wish to think about providing details within the following areas:

Idea Title
What is your idea?
What benefits or improvements does your idea aim to achieve?
Who do you envisage would need to be involved to aid the implementation of your idea?
Do you know at this stage of any costs or timescales which would apply to your idea?
Are you happy to be involved in developing your idea with help from City of York Council?
Is there any evidence or example where similar ideas have worked?

But don't be limited by the questions above. Submit your idea in whatever form suits you best.

Each challenge will be open for between 4-6 weeks. At the end of this period a selection panel will choose ideas identified for further development based on their originality, their creative and innovative value, and their benefit to the Council and/or City.

If you do not wish to post your idea on a public forum you can email us at genius@york.gov.uk.
