Copenhagen have real time 'cycle counters' (with a big LCD number display) on key bike routes into the city showing the number passing that point since midnight - Could we get the bike shops in the city or a national cycling organisation to sponsor one or more of these to raise awareness of how many people cycle in York every day?
Perhaps could have a similar real time display at the entrance to park and ride sites (where there are bus lanes on the route!) saying 'next bus to the city…

There are spaces in communities that are safe and welcoming, that are free and open to everyone. Spaces where communities can come together, spaces that are trusted by the public. They have free wifi and free internet access
