Dementia friendly?

Just a question to consider - where exactly do we submit these ideas and proposals? Is it in this blog in the form of a post, or does it need to take the form of a proposal with "Timelines and work breakdowns" "costings" etc as described by the Guidance Notes document. If it's the latter I have to say that even after reading that document I am still left feeling rather unclear as to the form proposals should take, and even less about where they should go, and I wonder if this is really the best way to engage people with dementia, or carers, in this process? I think this format seems rather skewed towards the language and processes familiar to professionals and could and should be much more accessible. Surely the first requirement of a "dementia friendly" city is the creation of "dementia friendly" processes for communication, participation, engagement and collective decision making?

    @ Heather. I was more concerned that if if it's unclear for me, the process may be even less clear for the very people we really need to be engaging the most. In particular the way the submission guidelines are laid out seem to be more in the language of project management rather than in language accessible to the lay person (whether a person with dementia or not) and the requirement to provide costings and project targets etc seemed rather intimidating to be honest.

    Also it took me a while to find them in the first place; initially I was trying to post some ideas in the thread on the Genius site, then it told me I had gone over 140 characters so I thought I'd try a blog post and only after digging around did I find the submission guidelines. Some people might have given up by then.
